Admin Events – 2026 E6 Conclave

The Admin Events at the 2026 E6 Conclave offer lodges the opportunity to showcase their skills in digital communication, organization, and outreach. Competitions include Facebook, Instagram, Planbook, Newsletter, and Website categories, with awards given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, as well as an overall Admin Champion Award.

Competition Overview

Lodges may participate in any or all events by submitting their materials by the designated deadlines. Each submission will be evaluated based on a structured rubric, ensuring fairness and consistency in judging. Judging will occur with both youth and adult evaluators to ensure diverse perspectives.

An overall Admin Champion will be determined based on a points system:

  • 1st Place: 3 points
  • 2nd Place: 2 points
  • 3rd Place: 1 point
    Ties will be broken based on the number of 1st place wins.

Competitions & Judging Criteria

Facebook Competition

Lodges are encouraged to maximize their social media presence to engage members. Judging criteria include:

  • Visibility and accuracy of lodge name and description
  • Frequency and relevance of posts
  • Engagement with followers (response time, event promotion, shared content)
  • Appropriate and high-quality multimedia content
  • Use of Facebook features (events, live streams, etc.)

Instagram Competition

This event recognizes lodges using Instagram effectively for communication and engagement. Entries will be judged on:

  • Profile visibility and completeness
  • Creative use of Instagram features (stories, reels, highlights)
  • Posting frequency and content relevance
  • Quality and appropriateness of images
  • Engagement with the OA and Scouting community

Newsletter Competition

Lodges must submit at least four digital newsletters published since April 1 of the previous year. Entries will be evaluated on:

  • Consistency, formatting, and readability
  • Variety and pertinence of content
  • Grammar, conciseness, and overall presentation
  • Effective use of images, branding, and interactive elements

Website Competition

Lodge websites are assessed based on usability, design, and content quality. Key areas include:

  • Updated event information and calendars
  • Visual appeal and layout consistency
  • Compliance with OA branding and technical standards
  • Accessibility and contact information availability

Planbook Competition

Lodges submit an annual planbook outlining goals, events, and operational details. Criteria include:

  • Organization and comprehensiveness
  • Clear and structured layout
  • Digital accessibility and branding
  • Overall professionalism and presentation

Recognition & Awards

Winning lodges will be celebrated at the conclave, with awards given for each competition and an overall Admin Champion title for the lodge that excels across all categories.
