Opening Reflection
(Leader)
Brothers and sisters, we gather here as members of the Order of the Arrow, bound by our commitment to cheerful service, leadership, and the enduring bonds of brotherhood. No matter our faith or background, we are united in a common purpose: to serve, to uplift, and to carry forward a legacy greater than ourselves.
As we reflect on the meaning of brotherhood, let us remember that true fellowship is built not only through shared experiences but through the values we uphold—integrity, kindness, and selfless service.
Invocation
(Leader)
A scout is reverent let us pray
The Great Spirit of all creation, who guides us in our journeys, bless this gathering of brothers and sisters. May we find strength in our unity, wisdom in our service, and love in our fellowship. May the legacy of those who have come before us inspire us to lead with humility and serve with joy.
Reading: The Strength of Brotherhood
(Reader)
“A single arrow may break, but a bundle of arrows remains strong. So, too, is our brotherhood. Alone, our efforts may falter, but together, our service can transform lives and communities. Let us walk forward, not as individuals, but as a family bound by our shared values and our unwavering commitment to one another.”
Message: Honoring Our Legacy
(Leader)
As members of the Order of the Arrow, we stand on the foundation built by those who came before us. Our brotherhood has thrived through generations, not because of titles or recognition, but because of those who chose to serve selflessly.
Think of the leaders who guided you, the friends who supported you, and the moments of quiet reflection that shaped you. Our legacy is not just in what we receive but in what we give. Each of us has the power to uplift another, to strengthen our bonds, and to leave this world better than we found it.
Commitment to Brotherhood (Responsive Reading)
(Leader)
Let us affirm our commitment to our brotherhood and to the values that sustain it. Please respond with: “We will serve and uplift one another.”
- When the path is difficult, and we are weary…
We will serve and uplift one another. - When a brother or sister is in need…
We will serve and uplift one another. - When we are called to lead by example…
We will serve and uplift one another. - As we honor the legacy of those before us…
We will serve and uplift one another. - In our daily lives, through small acts of kindness and great acts of service…
We will serve and uplift one another.
Closing Reflection & Sending Forth
(Leader)
As we depart from this time of reflection, let us carry the spirit of brotherhood with us. May our words be kind, our actions be selfless, and our hearts be open to those in need.
May the legacy of the Order of the Arrow continue through each of us—not just in what we say, but in what we do.
Go forth with renewed dedication, inspired by the past and committed to shaping the future.
Closing Blessing
(Leader)
May we walk in peace, serve with joy, and always remember that in our brotherhood, we are never alone.
Go now in brotherhood and cheerful service.
